The biggest challenge in the field of image
processing is to recognize documents both in printed and hanawritten
format. The Center has devloped an
OCR system
named
DIVYADRUSTI,which
is recognizing printed oriya documents having capacity upto 97%
accuracy. It has been tested by taking Laser printed
documents,newspapers and magazines.The output of the OCR is integrated
with our indigenously devloped Text-To-Speech(TTS) system.This
makes capable for blind persons to operate in command mode with the help
of Speech-To-text(STT) system.Besides these,the software has
immence help for preserving old documents.The Center has
obtained IPR of the product 'OCR-ORIYA' from
the MInistry of Human Devlopment(MHRD),Govt.of India in
2002. |
