The OriNet system is designed on the basis of Object Oriented Principle, since it consists of different modules (collection library & classes) and the modules have been developed according to the Oriya language structure.

1. Provide syntactic information of a word with the help of Oriya Morphological Analyzer.

2. Generates synonym, antonym,hypernym, meronym, definition and example etc. of each sense of a word.

3. Navya-NyAya Philosophy is used for classification and design of ontology and lexicon.

4. Different interfaces are designed to link with other Word-Net for using it in wider application.

5. Can be used in different application areas like Word Sense Disambiguation (WSD), Machine Translation (MT) and Spell Checker with Grammar Correction.

6. The system is devloped using file management system through java and java swing for both the Windows and Linux operating system.
