Workshop Objectives:

Resource centers for ILTS, under TDIL programs of the ministry, are established for providing platform to disseminate knowledge to common man through digital unites. For effective implementation of the idea, several technologies are merged towards the development of hardware and software under the project. To expose people to the output of the project, this workshop scheduled to be organized from 15^th to 17^th of May-2003 spread with 12 sessions and tea/lunch breaks. Participants in this workshop will be exposed to the frontier research fields involved in language technologies like, development of Optical Character Recognition, Text-To-Speech, Speech-To-Text, Machine Translation, and Lexical Resources development through deliberations of eminent scientists.

About Bhubaneswar
It is the capital of Orissa situated 60 KM away from Bay of Bengal. The Temple City Bhubaneswar along with Puri, the abode of Lord Jagannath and Konark, the world famous “BLACK PAGODA” are named as the Golden Triangle. It is surrounded by ‘Nandan Kanan’: famous for white tigers and Lion Safari, the famous Jain monuments at Khandagiri and Udayagiri and the battle field of Kalinga War fought by Emperor Ashoka at the bank of river Daya near Dhouligiri, the Buddhist shrine.

Persons interested for sight seeing for Prui-Konark–Pipili on the 18^th May are requested to intimate along with the registration form.

Sight Seeing Charges:
Sight seeing will be organised through OTDC.
Time: 9 hrs to 18hrs.
Rate: AC- Rs. 170/-
